Eternal Flame

The eternal flame that burns
For you deep inside my soul,
Is strong, fierce and burning
Bright, bright as any coal.

Passion flows like lava hot
Deep inside my veins;
My love and my devotion,
Are constant, devouring flames.

The essence of my being lies
In the midst of this fire;
It is you it craves and yearns
For, its only true desire.

You alone possess the power
To quench my endless thirst,
You carry within the power to
cease this nefarious curse.

So find your love for me
And nullify this burning,
Save my soul and heart
From this wicked yearning.

For my life is only ashes
Without your scorching touch.
You are my fuel, my reasoning,
You have me in your clutch.

This fire inside me dances
At the sound of your name,
You solely control this
Eternal, aching flame.

Make me yours tonight,
Stay here by my side.
Make this fire dream your dreams,
And your secrets to it confide

So vanish this perpetual anguish,
Sing me a new song.
Replace this eternal flame,
With an everlasting calm.
