It was Saturday February 21st. I had just gotten home from a really long day of
work and I could think of nothing better than the long night of sleep to come.
I live with my sister and brother-in-law. Brian, (my bro in law) had little to
say to me that night. My sister, on the other hand, was very talkative. Why, I did
not know, but it was only keeping me from a nights sleep I really wanted to have.
Finally I talked myself out of the room and into my bedroom. I hit the bed like
lightning and was almost fast asleep only to be awakened by a knock on the door.
It was my sister again. She and her husband wanted to play a game of scrabble.
Why they wanted me to play I wish I knew but I really didn't want to play.
Being nice I agreed. I haven't had much fun in life lately and I guess I
figured it couldn't hurt. Life has been tough for me lately and I don't even
know why. Everything I want to do has been such a struggle. Anyway, we played for
30 minutes or so before the door bell rang. I wasn't expecting anybody and I
thought it was a little late for visitors.

My sister jumped up with more pep then I've seen her do in awhile. She
answered the door to a girl named Lana. She is a close friend that I've gotten to
know over the past 3 months. She entered with a stuffed mouse that I really thought
odd because I gave that mouse to my life long love, Ruth Williams. At first I was
shocked she was there but what happened next I couldn't have ever dreamed of.....

Ruth Williams walked in to the house with a smile like I've never seen before.
She was like an angel. There she was standing in my living room and I had no idea what
to say. I've loved Ruth most of my life. Ever since we met we have always had
something special. Six years ago she moved to New Hampshire with her family.
Things have never been the same since she left. I had only seen her once since she moved. We've had a rough past but always found a way to work things out in the end.

Webmistress: This is an account, unfinished, of when I surprised Philip with a visit. Lana helped me plan the whole thing and even helped to pay for some of it. Her mother picked me up that night and asked if I wanted to wait for the next morning when we were supposed to meet up with Philip's brother, Victor. I couldn't wait and had them take me there immediately. We thought it would be funny if Lana walked in first with Mr. Mousie. I guessed it worked. The look on his face was priceless. It was a wonderful experience and I loved every minute I was there. I love you, Philip!
